The First day

Well that’s the first day of the new life past. It’s been terrific. I spent most of it in Ardrossan starting the long list of jobs to be tackled and just looking her over. It’s always the same after the long winter layup. There is a hankering to be out on the water and I was just a little bit jealous to those  people whose boats were lifted in today. The team work hard in the yard at this time as the pressure mounts as each owner wants their boat done next.The weather helped hugely. The sun came out and it was warm if you kept busy. I stopped for lunch and ate in the cockpit. It was cool after 15 mins but enjoyable just the same.

The seagulls have been busy again and pecked throught the plastic cover over the mast entry. plus crapped on the deck whilst doing so. Probably out of spite as we had put an aluminium tray underneath and they couldn’t get all the way through!.

I’ll need to draw up a project plan with a critical path to be sure it’s all done in time.
